Support

The following are programs facilitated by BJKM JH to help support the mission of the school.

SCRIP Program

The term "SCRIP" means substitute money. When you purhcase SCRIP, you are purchasing negotiable gift certificates or debit cards that are used just like cash. National and local merchants issue the SCRIP from stores where you already shop every day for groceries, gasoline, prescriptions, tools, clothing, flowers, toys, restaurants, and other necessities. There are over 400 national vendors that offer SCRIP.

We also have more than 25 local merchants who support our school through the SCRIP program by giving us a discount when we purchase their certificates and debit cards.

For every SCRIP purchased, parents earn 70% of the percentage in the form of tuition credit. Tuition credit is posted directly to your BJKM account.

At BJKM Junior High, parents may either visit the SCRIP store at the times listed below or sent in orders on Tuesday and Fridays to be filled and sent home.

Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Wednesday: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Friday: 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM AND 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

The SCRIP store is located in the cafeteria of BJKM Elementary School.

Market Day

Market Day offers butcher shop quality meats, quick cook entrées and sides, breakfast items, lunch box favorites, appetizers, indulgent desserts and more. You will  appreciate every day prices that are competitive with retail yet offer the added benefit of helping your organization.

BJKM School System earns profit from orders placed through Market Day. Orders are sorted and available for pick-up at the elementary cafeteria at BJKM Elementary School. Paper order dates, web order dates, and pick-up dates are listed below.

You can order online and either pay with a credit card online or bring in a check on the day of pick-up. Order forms can also be filled out and sent into the BJKM Junior High offices. Food may be picked up by the student but must be paid in full in advance or check in hand on the day of delivery. Remember that large orders may be hard for the student to handle - especially if they are riding on the school bus. Therefore, anyone can pick up your order - friend, relative, neighbor - as long as the order is paid in full.

Due to space and the fact that all of the foods are frozen, there is a policy that food is held for only 25 hours after the pick-up time. After that point. the school nor Market Day is responsible for the food.

Volunteers are needed one day per month to organize and hand out orders. Please check the back of the order form for the Tuesday pick-up dates. Please contact the coordinator of the Market Day program listed on the brochure as well to let he/she know of your ability to volunteer.

Dress down day is on the pick-up day for any student that ordered or has a parent or other relative that is volunteering.
